Stockholm Travel Massive

On a cold winter day in late January surrounded by snow, 30-35 travel bloggers, editors, PR agents, and authors found warm solace within the Mediterranean-style atrium Ljusgården – peppered with antique sculptures from Medelhavetsmuseet. Swedish travel brand Ving AB hosted Stockholm Travel Massive and treated us to a spread of appetizers and finger foods which included smoked salmon with lemon and dill, crostinis with herbs, cheese, and air-dried ham, pickled vegetables, mini apple compote desserts and much more.

Stockholm Travel Massive

Travel Massive connects thousands of people around the world to meet, learn, and collaborate in the online travel industry. Currently held in over 60 cities, it is a world-wide community of locally organised laid-back meet ups for travel & tourism companies, travel bloggers, start-ups, and travel media to connect and share globally.

This time around, we had a line-up of speakers including Robert Gunnarson and Barbro Holmberg from Ving AB who gave short presentations on travel trends and Jamaica respectively, Doug Lansky who featured his new hilarious, informative, and irreverent book, Travel – The Guide, as well as Jeroen Gulickx of Mocinno International who talked about some interesting new projects his company was working on and how he’d like to collaborate with travel bloggers and writers. In addition to a relaxing environment where ideas flowed and people networked, Ving also provided attendees with goodie bags and Luxsit Organic Care provided free samples of their products.

The Next Event

Our next Stockholm Travel Massive has been confirmed with our host for May 2015 and we’ll share more details as we get closer to the date.

And as always, we’re looking for hosts and sponsors to partner with. Feedback from our last event was great and we’re looking forward to growing exponentially as we organize more meet-ups in Stockholm in the upcoming months.

Thanks as always to my co-organizers, Annika Myhre of Resfredag and Sofia Zetterqvist of Fantasiresor.
