There is a variety of options to sharing workspaces whether you are a freelancer or entrepreneur. They all offer different features at a range of price points, so your preference will ultimately decide which one is perfect for you.

Whether you are looking for a simple cafe with an internet connection or an elegant office space with extra perks such as balconies, I have put together some of the options to consider.

Covendum

Convendum is one of the most modern co-working spaces that you will find in the entire city. Based one minute away from the T-Centralen, it is ideal for everyone to access. There are also other spaces located around the city, but this is my personal preference. There are also options for lockable office and conference rooms. The office space is elegant and luxurious, with 24-hour access for members.

As you can imagine, there is a wide range of benefits for using this co-working space. Their main aim is to help your business succeed, and this is achieved by their high-quality service, with full access to the concierge service, cafe, deli, restaurant, wellness facilities and wired and wireless internet all included within the membership and office packages. Membership prices start at 4,995 kr per month and private offices start at 11,950 kr per month.

Cafe&Co

For me, an essential part of a co-working space is the accessibility to a good cup of coffee. Cafe & Co delivers on that front, creating a living and creative atmosphere with great co-workers and Stockholm’s best coffee.

This space promotes entrepreneurship and encourages visitors from all sectors to mingle and work together. It is indeed a fantastic place to meet new people; it is possibly the best place in the city to network with Cafe & Co full of likeminded people, hence its nickname as ‘the creative hub of Stockholm.

There are 15 co-working seats, two meeting rooms and of course, a cafe. The prices are very much dependent on how long you plan to use the space. You can rent for as little as one hour for 50 kr. A full day at the cafe will cost you 300 kr and a one-month membership costs 2,900 kr.

Openlab

Openlab is a specific co-working space in Stockholm that has a requirement. To use the office space, you must be aiming to improve society as a small business or entrepreneur. If you meet these guidelines then you are able to work in their workspaces, with conference rooms also available to book at a cost. Free coffee is always on hand to help you with your work.

Another special perk of Openlab is their special training courses that are aimed at boosting your innovation skills.

Membership prices begin from 2,000 kr per month; this will also guarantee you 24-hour access. Fear not, if you aren’t sure whether you want to become a member you can work in the cafe for the afternoon for free as a trial.

Kolonien

Telefonplan is one of the up-and-coming neighbourhoods in the city and this working space offers one of the best-priced office spots in Stockholm.

Kolonien is based in an office hotel where professional freelancers and companies come to rent desktops or private office spaces. Kolonien provides a creative environment where your ideas can soar, with additional perks for members and is great if you are a solopreneur or part of a team.

Flexible desk memberships begin from 1,995 kr per month, while fixed desks are priced from 2,995 kr per month. Membership benefits include 24-hour access and free car parking on-site.

If you are looking for something more specific, don’t be afraid to contact their staff; they pride themselves on being the most flexible workspace in Stockholm.

Knackeriet

Knackeriet is a co-working space located over two floors in the historic Gamla Stan area of Stockholm, near the Main Square. Knackeriet is complete with a beautiful courtyard area which has the largest and most secret garden within the old town. This member-only option is the most exclusive on the list, with current members having to approve your application. Compared to some of the others on this list, Knackeriet is pretty pricey with memberships beginning at 3,900kr per month.

With membership, you have the choice of flexible workspace seating, a fixed desk, or a private room, if you wish. There are certain discounts for struggling entrepreneurs to ease the cost of the start-up process. If you are a workaholic, then this is the place for you, with doors open 24/7. There is a funky decor with definite design edge, fitting for its status as Stockholm’s first digital House of Innovation.

It is a wonderful working area and well worth the membership fee. It’s my personal favourite.

The Castle is also located in Gamla Stan and offers five floors of working space. The Castle aims to create the workspace of dreams through a culture and community that can’t be matched anywhere else in Stockholm.

The co-working space encourages participation and exploration of everyone that signs up for a membership. It is one of the best co-working spaces in the city for those that are looking to be a part of something that offers support for work and social networking. Here you can make friends and take part in the events, workshops and meet ups that are organised by The Castle in a safe and inclusive atmosphere.

There is an abundance of additional benefits as part of the membership. Those include unlimited coffee and wifi along with access to the yoga studio and the option to use the meeting room, which can house between 5-150 guests.

Flexible desk prices begin from 3700 SEK for full-time membership, while two days a week will cost 2500 SEK. Fixed desk prices start at 5500 SEK, while there are also options for low-income memberships.
