Spotlight: Stockholm Street Food Festival

Lola A. Åkerström shares a quick peek into Stockholm’s iconic Street Food Festival held from September 6-7, 2019.

Dozens of trucks oozing a mix of aromas – from savory and sweet to grilled and fried – convene in Stockholm’s most popular citizen park Kungsträdgården for the Stockholm Street Food Festival. Or rather, “Sthlm Street Food Festival”.

Here you can enjoy a plethora of quick urban bites spanning the globe, including Southeast Asian, Indian, Venezuelan, Argentinian and so many more cultural flavors.

This year, the festival also invited various sweet food trucks serving up Churros, waffles, ice cream, and crepes, to name a few.

In addition to gorging on tasty food, you’ll find performances and competitions on stage as well as graffiti artists.

The Swedish Food Truck Championships is also held simultaneously alongside the festival, where the food trucks compete with their signature dishes or a newly composed dish to battle it out for the championship title. New this year is also the Sweet Food Awards 2019.
