Stockholm Pride 2016

Stockholm’s inner city was bathed in rainbow colors for several days. There were countless souvenirs to buy along its streets – from wigs, flags and scarves to a whole Pride outfit. People in the parade had adorned themselves extravagantly and were dancing to vibrant music.
Single people, couples and families. Teenagers and adults. Men and women. Gay, bisexual, straight, and trans-gendered people were all there. The atmosphere was perfect.
I met Alex at the city center and we walked from the City Hall Bridge along Vasagatan to Kungsgatan and all the way to Stureplan in the parade. Along with 45,000 other people with an estimated half a million watching.
What an unbelievable party!
